About the island

Patmos is a small yet very special island in the Dodecanese. As it may be slightly harder to get to this is the very reason it remains so pure and unspoiled. Its small size allows you to come in touch with your human nature, exploring yourself as you explore this magical island.

3-4h daily practice (invigorating in the morning & restorative or workshop in the evening)

Accommodation: Where you'll be staying

The properties hold the best possible locations in Chora, with spectacular views of the whole island and the port of Skala, and convenient access by car or walking. They hold collections of valuable art and antiques that have been on the island for generations. The restoration was aimed to preserve the feeling of going back in time; with large comfortable spaces, open views, and understated but meticulously curated details, we hope to once again experience the calm and awe that we miss in our everyday life.

Itinerary: Day-by-day

Day 1

  • Arrival & pick up from the Port to meet at the House for welcome snacks & quick tour

Day 2

  • Start the day with an energising Power flow Yoga class
  • Bruch freshly prepared by our wonderful Greek Chef
  • Free time: walks around the old town (Chora), visit the monastery, shopping at the Port (Skala) or going to the beach for a refreshing swim and getting your suntan going!
  • Evening Workshop
  • Dinner at the House

Day 3

  • Morning Powerflow class – uplifting & energising everyday with a different focus for every day
  • Brunch
  • Free Time
  • Optional kayak/sup day!
  • Workshop: Arm balances & Inversions
  • Greek Traditional Dinner out by the beach at one of the best restaurants in Patmos

Day 4

  • Powerflow morning class adding elements from the workshops
  • Brunch
  • Optional Hike together at one of the most beautiful & pure beaches of the island
  • Yin & Restorative evening class
  • Dinner at the House

Day 5

  • Morning Fit Flow - invigorating & toning yoga-inspired workout
  • Brunch
  • Optional boat ride to the most magical islands/beaches you have ever seen!! (the day of the boat ride might change depending on the weather)
  • Free evening of exploring the Island with your fellow yogis

Day 6

  • Longer morning class incorporating all the skills from the themed classes & workshops!

Nina is an incredible teacher and her classes are very unique. She couples movement, dance, and yoga in a 75-minute invigorating practice that will get you sweaty and get your blood flowing! After seeing surprisingly good and fast progress in yoga (which I had never tried before) I decided to join the summer retreat in Patmos. It was one of the highlights of my summers in Greece, and I saw a great improvement in my practice. Can't recommend it enough, and I can't wait for the next one!

How to get there: From Athens & London

Fastest and most convenient way to get to Patmos from Greece or abroad is via a plane to Leros island and organised rib boat to take the group to Patmos (5 mins walk from airport to boat & 25minutes boat ride from Leros to Patmos). Other options include:

How do I secure a spot?

The deposit is £490 for booking your spot and choosing your room. This is non-refundable.

What’s included in the retreat price?

  • 6 day stay in beautifully restored Houses in the Chora of Patmos

What do I need to bring?

  • yoga outfits (short & long)
  • small face sports towel if you sweat
  • raincoat for the boat
  • trainers for the hike
  • jumper/scarf for Savasana or if it gets windy
  • beach wear: bathing suit, sun glasses, hat, sunscreen, flip flops/sandals
  • any specialised medicine

What’s the weather like in Patmos?

As you may know June & September in Greece are the best months to visit: sunshine & temperatures between from 20-30 degrees Celsius, low wind and beautiful sunsets. Occasionally, but very rarely, it might rain but that doesn’t usually last. The wind is usually very low and it’s a perfect time for boat rides!

What else is there to do in Patmos?

Patmos is one of the most beautiful, picturesque islands in the Aegean and between our yoga classes and meals you can visit the monastery, go for walks in the old Chora or to the port, go to the beautiful beaches, shop at the island’s cool shops, go for massage and treatments or chill by the amazing views of the house and island. As soon as you sign up you will receive a fully detailed email with recommendations and further info.

How do I move around the island?

Transport from and to the port upon arrival and return is arranged and covered by the retreat. During your free time you are responsible for your own transport and there are the options of taxi (very easy to find), bus (not so frequent) and renting a car (highly recommended). As soon as you sign up you will receive a fully detailed email with contact info for renting a car and you can share it with other participants if you want.

What is the payment policy?

Full amount is due 2 months before start date of the retreat & non refundable unless the retreat is cancelled.
